Environmental Sustainability Policy

OPRA’s policy is to work towards environmental sustainability in all of our operations.  Our policy fits within our principal objective, which is to operate a successful business and to be financially sustainable.  The following principles guide us toward environmental sustainability:

• Ensure our products and operations comply with relevant environmental legislation and regulations
• Conduct all our operations in a manner that is committed to recycling, conservation of resources, prevention of pollution, and promotion of environmental responsibility among our employees
• Responsibly manage the use of hazardous materials in our operations, products and services and promote recycling or reuse of our products

Recycling

• Where ever possible OPRA recycle glass, paper, aluminium, plastic materials and waste electronic equipment. 

Waste Minimisation and Disposal

• We aim to minimise waste, especially hazardous waste, and where ever practical recycle material in our operations. 
• We dispose of our waste through safe and responsible methods
• We seek to purchase long-life assets and assets that can be re-used within the community

Print, Paper and Packaging Management

• Where possible we distribute and view information on soft copy and avoid printing of materials.  Where the distribution of information printed on paper is essential, OPRA seek to make the most efficient use of the paper. 
• Packaging materials will be reused when practical, and otherwise will be recycled.
